How it all started

Aislin came to life from my strong belief in following your dreams, listening to your intuition, and doing what feels good.
For most people following your dreams requires courage, but I learned that, for me, it means listening to, and following my intuition. For as long as I can remember, I had three dreams: using my knowledge and experience for the good of all, living abroad and renovating houses. Although I already had these dreams as a child, it took some time and life lessons before I built up the courage to follow and realize them…...I must admit my story is a bit about being courageous too.
After graduation in economics I began my career in corporate finance and consulting. I was talented and my career developed fast, but one thing was lacking: it didn´t make me happy. People around me didn´t understand me, I went so fast and had many possibilities. Most of the time I didn´t understand it either. The only answers I had to the situation was working harder, blocking my feelings, and putting in more hours, doing another degree as well as a postgraduate master. Up until the age of 27 when I didn´t have any energy left to work another extra hour. It was a hard lesson but also the start of something beautiful: living for what feels good. It is for this reason that I decided to quit and leave for Peru to teach disadvantaged children in the slums of Trujillo.
When I came back, I returned to the corporate sector, but I knew that this time I would aim for my dream: using my knowledge and experience for the good of all. When I got the opportunity to work as the CFO of Justdiggit I grabbed it by the horns and started to help the effort against climate change in Africa. After this adventure it was time to realize my other dream, living abroad. Without a plan, I quit my job again and left for Madrid. It was one of my best choices in my life. Before arriving, I received a job opportunity at another corporate giving me the perfect start in Madrid. However, I knew that this was temporary as it didn´t feel right, so I refused a promotion and quit my job to listen to my heart without knowing yet where it will guide me too, performing some consulting projects in between.
It wasn´t always easy especially not for someone who is used to work hard and many hours a week. But I kept following my heart, focusing, trusting and believing in all possibilities. In December 2020 I made a moodboard where I visualised all my desires for 2021 (see left picture above). I was visualising to buy an old appartment in Madrid to renovate, as a place for living, with as a milestone celebrating Christmas 2021 with friends in the renovated place. During 2021 the dream became bigger and Aislin Realty arose. Instead of renovating an appartment for myself I decided to set-up a company to create unique spaces for others. End of May I started to formalize a team and in July I bought the first project, what in the same year is transformed into Alba. To celebrate all of this Christmas 2021 is celebrated in Alba with friends (right picture above). And so the dream became a reality!
